Claudette Colbert and producer David O. Selznick held a “housewarming” party for Hollywood notables in a “typical American home” on the set of Selznick’s latest production, Since You Went Away. The host and hostess entertained director John Cromwell, and members of the cast Joseph Cotten, Jennifer Jones, Shirley Temple, Monty Woolley, Robert Walker, Hattie MacDaniel, Neil Hamilton, Eric Sinclair, Rhonda Fleming, Christopher Adams, and Vicci Styles. Here, Wooley draws a laugh from Claudette as Christopher Adams and Shirley Temple stand by. (1943)
